The GKC is a two-day event that will take place in August and is designed to help Goalkeeper’s take their game to the next level. The camp is conducted by NJYS Goalkeeper Director, Paul Blodgett.
The focus of the GKC is on technical development, giving attendees the chance to improve all their Goalkeeper Skills and improve their tactical awareness.
Only 12 Goalkeepers per time slot will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis, so don't miss out on this unique opportunity to develop your skills with some of the best coaches in the state.

Daily Curriculum
Catching:
Basic catching techniques (basket, W, scoop, etc.)
Catching high balls (positioning, timing, body shape)
Catching low balls (footwork, body shape, positioning)
Diving:
Basic diving techniques (forward, backward, sideways)
Diving for low shots (body shape, footwork, positioning)
Diving for high shots (timing, body shape, positioning)
Diving for shots to the side (timing, body shape, positioning)
Diving for crosses and corners (timing, positioning, decision making)
1 v 1:
Basic 1v1 techniques (narrowing the angle, staying on feet, forcing shooter wide)
Dealing with a 1v1 in open play (positioning, decision making)
Dealing with a 1v1 from a breakaway (positioning, decision making, communication with defenders)
Distribution:
Basic distribution techniques (goal kicks, throws, rolls)
Kicking techniques (side volley, instep drive, half-volley)
Throwing techniques (overarm, underarm, quick release)
Rollout techniques (body position, decision making)
